One of the jewel’s of the Cornish coast, Portreath’s history is rich in mining lore with evidence of its intriguing past reflected in the nearby engine houses and historic monuments.  The beautiful Cornish coast is the setting for movies and television series such as Poldark, Doc Martin, and the books of Rosamund Pilcher and Daphne DuMaurier.
