Joe and Maria Urban left their corporate lives to realize the dream of running a B & B in Cornwall. Both travelled extensively during their careers and set a goal of having Moor House satisfy what they wanted when staying away from home.

MOOR HOUSE

       FINDING MOOR HOUSE

From the North – Exit A30 at Portreath/Redruth/Treasure Park, stay in the outside lane of the slip road. At the roundabout, ignore signs for Portreath and turn right towards Porthtowan.  **After 250 yards, turn left, Portreath is clearly signposted. At the crossroads turn right onto the B3300 and continue past Treasure Park, through Bridge towards Portreath. Moor House is located on the B3300 and is approximately 20 yards before the traffic restriction on Penberthy Road. If you pass Portreath School, you have gone too far.

From the South – Take the Second Portreath exit, (not Pool/Portreath) and keep in the inside lane. At the roundabout turn first left towards Portreath/Porthtowan. Follow instructions from ** above.

From the Village – Take the B3300 out of the village towards the school. Moor House is the first house on the right after the school and through the traffic restriction.

ABOUT US

Maria is originally from the eastern United States and puts cooking and Cornwall as two of her favourite things in life. Joe is originally from Lancashire, but lived for several years in London and in the United States.

Since opening Moor House to guests, Joe and Maria feel fortunate to have met so many lovely people and look forward to welcoming each person who chooses to stay at Moor House.
